Chocolate Chia and Hemp Seed Pudding

One of the most challenging obstacles to overcome if you are embarking on a journey to better your health, is to manage sweet tooth cravings. Often times, it is seemingly impossible to control. The thing is, until blood sugar is stabilized, those cravings will continue to hit you hard. And one of the best ways to get your blood sugar under control is to start incorporating foods that help manage and regulate blood sugar. Adding foods that have both a fat, fiber and protein component, in conjunction with the sweet foods you eat, will have the effect of stabilizing blood sugar and insulin spikes. So much so that you will slowly find your cravings subside to almost non-existent. You will find yourself reaching for healthier alternatives because your body craves the nourishment more than it used to crave the sugar. It’s a miraculous thing!

One of my absolute favourite recipes to help manage sweet cravings is chocolate chia and hemp seed pudding. Not only is it super easy to make, it is full of healthy fat, vitamins and minerals, fibre, and protein. It is filling, chocolaty and will help regulate your blood sugar. You can eat it as a dessert or a breakfast. Its versatile and if you have picky kids, they’ll eat it too! My picky eaters LOVE it.
